Aiding Physiotherapists in the Battle against Pain

The study of pain is emerging as a unique and exciting scientific field, as our understanding of this area and beliefs about people in pain have changed. Pain has been recognized as a clinical and medical condition in and of itself, and the provision of health care for people in pain is an important issue within the Canadian health care system. Physiotherapists are increasingly involved in the non-pharmaceutical, science-based management of pain.
